Instructor: Michelle Schovaers Wagley




Michelle has been involved with the theatre for most of her life. She graduated from Brigham Young University in 2007 with a BA in Theatre Studies — emphasis in Stage Management. She has worked on productions in Utah, England, California, Texas, and Japan. Her TIP stage management credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Hand to God, The Who’s Tommy, and Two Gentlemen of Verona. Other stage management credits include: Disturbance, God of Carnage, These Shining Lives, Going Dark, A Real Boy, W;t, You Can't Take It With You, The Foreigner, Hamlet, Palm Springs Follies, Big Bad Musical, Cabaret, Peter Pan, Stadium of Fire - 4th of July Spectacular

This two day workshop will include hands-on training, interactive activities, shared professional experiences, and practical application.

By the end of the course, you will have been introduced to the key aspects of stage managing for theatre, gained a greater understanding of the production process, as well as learning some tricks of the trade to make you a successful and competent stage manager.
